Introducing the newest ‘Accessory’ for the Vertex Standard lineup. The BSC-5000 Base Station Console. For our dealers who were asking for a Base Station that was more than a radio sitting on top of a power supply, we developed the integrated component required to allow them to offer a base station to meet their customer’s needs.
The BSC-5000 was specifically designed to incorporate the VX-4000, VX-5500 or VX-6000 mobiles*. This gives our dealer the flexibility to provide a base station to the customer’s specific requirements:
- Lowband: 70W /120 W
- VHF: 50W/110 W
- UHF: 45W/100 W
* The Dealer must purchase and install the appropriate mobile.
VERTEX STANDARD BSC-5000 SERIES REPEATER FEATURES:
Front mounted speaker - The large front mounted speaker makes for clear and loud audio as needed.
- Date / Time indicator - There is a built in Date / Time clock on the front display. 12 or 24-hour format is available.
- DC Backup - The BSC-5000 has rear connections for a DC backup input. In case you lose primary power, the DC backup battery input will take over.
- Built in power supply - The BSC-5000 fully contains a 30 Amp DC power supply capable of delivering enough power to run even the 120 W Lowband VX-6000.

- Built in power switching from AC to DC upon AC power failure
- Built in Date / Time clock
- Large front mounted speaker for clear and loud audio
- Internal microphone jack converter for use of the MD-11 desk microphone
- There is an optional unique desk microphone available as well, MD-11B8J.
